Behrndt, Norma

Norma Behrndt has gone to her heavenly home to be with Jesus on October 29, 2021, at the age of 71 Years.  Survived by her loving children Andrew and Andrea Behrndt. Beloved “G” to her one and only grand daughter Emma and great grand daughter “her Baby” Addison. Predeceased by her children’s father Wolfgang. Norma was born in Sudbury to the late Norman and Whilirene Davis (nee McGaughey). Sadly, missed by her siblings, Bonny (Fred-predeceased), Darlene (Tom), Henry (Lorraine), Sandra, Laurie (Martin). Norma worked for many years at Bell Canada Operator Services, then went on to work at Canada Revenue Agency where she retired. She also attended First Baptist Church and Lansing Avenue Baptist Chapel.  The family would like to thank Dr. Al Mazouri who she loved, Dr. Raymond Sawkiw for the many years of care, and the staff on 4 South Ortho/Neuro at Health Sciences North for the care and compassion, as well as going above and beyond to make sure our mothers last days were comfortable. In lieu of flowers donation made directly to Maison McCulloch Hospice  would be appreciated by the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lansing Avenue Baptist Church, 1192 Lansing Avenue., Sudbury, on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Facemasks and social distancing mandatory.  For those who can’t attend, the service can be viewed by livestream at

How lucky are we to have had someone that makes saying goodbye so hard.

  10. Dear Andrea, Andrew and family,

My deepest condolences to you all. Norma was a dear friend of our family. I remember her teaching me Sunday School many, many years ago. I had seen her from time to time when I would be in Sudbury and loved her laugh.
She is now where she wanted to be, with Jesus!
