Beaudry, Jason “Jay”

It is with sadness and anguish that we share the news of Jay's passing on Sunday, June 7th, 2020. Alongside him to the very end were his loving son Braden Guitard, his mother Denise Beaudry, his father Ed Beaudry, his best friend Brian Lebid and his wife Josie Bouthillier. Jay also leaves behind a beautiful grandchild, Greyson Jay Dodkiewicz Guitard and five wonderful stepchildren, Victoria Bouthillier, Madison Bouthillier, Georgia Bouthillier, Gabriel Perron and Aubree Perron. Jay remained deeply determined to keep living, even up until his final moments and wanted so badly to be with you all again. The prospect of living life among each of you is what kept him going in his long and fierce battle against cancer. We are so proud of him for continuing the way he did, and our hearts are heavy to have to let him go. An enormous thank you goes out to the care Jay received from the Palliative Team at HSN, I am so humbled by the care you gave my husband in his last hours. I also want to acknowledge the absolutely amazing Oncology Nurses at the Northern Cancer Center. Jay loved you all so very much. Due to the current pandemic, we will be holding a Celebration of Jay’s Life at a later date.

  1. We are so sorry to hear this news. Jay fought a courageous battle; it was inspiring despite the challenges to see how much he relished the time he had. It’s a reminder to us all to seize the day…

I met Jay at as a teacher at Parry Sound High School. Jay was soft-spoken, calm, and always had a huge smile on his face. He took the time to get to know every single kid. He made them feel special, appreciated and loved. It’s no wonder that he was an instant favourite among the students.

Jay had a huge impact of those around him and left a memorable mark. Bless him.

  3. Although I have not seen either of you since High School, it brought me happiness to hear each of you found each other. I never got to know Jay after high school but even as a distant friend on Facebook, I could tell her was so sweet and kind and funny. I hope you find peace in your hearts Josée and know that his soul is at peace because of the life he led when he was here. Know he is looking down on all of you left here waiting to be with him someday. Hugs! Cindy and Pinard family.
