Bazinet, Roger

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Roger Bazinet surrounded by his loving family and loyal family dogs at his residence on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the age of 56 years after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband for 35 years of Sherie Bazinet (nee Raymond). Devoted father of Kayla (Seth), Krista and Miranda (Curtis) whom he cherished immensely and would always praise their accomplishments. Born on January 21, 1964, he was the son of Dollard and Carol Bazinet (predeceased) (nee Gauthier). He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, extended family members, his loving work family and especially by his four-legged sidekicks Ziggy and Brody. Roger will be remembered as a valued employee at Lowe’s, a very accomplished fine woodworker, a devoted Toronto Maple Leafs fan, a great lover of dogs, and as a very charismatic and humorous man who was admired by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. In his spare time, he enjoyed being at camp where he would spend his days fishing, sitting by the fire, and renovating to the unreasonably high standards of his daughters with love. The family would like to extend their sincerest thank you to all who was involved in Roger’s care, the compassion that was shown to not only him but also the family will never be forgotten. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service or visitation. Due to the community restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roger’s memory can be made directly to the Maison McCulloch hospice or the North East Cancer Center and would be greatly appreciated.
