Barbeau, Jane

Sweet Dreams Jane…

It is with very heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Jane Barbeau on November 7,2022 at Health Sciences North surrounded by her loving family. Jane is pre-deceased by her husband Phil Barbeau (2000) who was the love of her life for 36 years. Our family would like to sincerely thank the doctors and nurses at Health Sciences North’s CATH Lab and ICU for their incredible care, compassion, and kindness that Jane received during her brief stay.

Jane is survived by her 5 Children, 13 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren: Daughter Monique Barbeau, Son Guy Barbeau, Grandchildren Carissa (Jimmy) with Great-Grandchildren Danika, Mallery and Ryleigh, Ashley (Marc) and Trevor (Amanda) with Great-Grandchild Fin. Son Jacques Barbeau (Pam), Grandchildren, Ryan (Jill) with great-Grandchild Ruby, Steve with Great-Grandchild Eva, Dave, Kordell (Shannon) with Great-Grandchildren Leo and Lily, Jen (Chris) with Grandchild Jacob. Son Moe Barbeau (Laura Lee), Grandchildren Trent (Predeceased), Bailey (Brandon) and Randi. Son Richard Barbeau (Christine), Grandchildren Matt (Jill) and Cayley (Jake).

Jane was known in her beloved Walden Community for being a “Super Fan” and could always be found in the stands or behind a backstop cheering. She never missed a game or event (Rain or Shine) of her kids, grandkids, or little ones she loved. Jane was a great knitter who also loved to bowl, play shuffleboard, was a member of Stitch N’ Bitch and could never get enough of Steve Harvey on Family Feud. To say she loved cheezies would be an understatement, she though cheezies were part of every food group. We smile as we reflect on her recent 80th birthday celebration just 9 days prior to her passing. And it was a party!! So much love in the room as Jane was surrounded by family and friends and in Barbeau style the guitars came out, the sing along ensues as it turned into a memorable shaker. Jane will always be remembered for her feisty personality, zest for life, positive outlook and unconditional love who leaves an incredible void in all our hearts!

Her Celebration of Life will be held this Sunday November 13th,2022from 1-4pm at Alley Katz in Lively (Walden Plaza). Guitars, tambourines, and kazoos welcome!
