The Babin family wishes to announce with sorrow the passing of Simone Rolande Babin (nee Bouffard) at the age of 92, on Monday, October 16, 2017. Simone was born and raised in Verner, ON, then moved to Sudbury where she resided. Simone truly lived life to the fullest. Her “joie de vivre” and sense of humor saw her through the full life she had. She was predeceased by her husband Elias and two sons, Howard and Michael. She’s survived by daughters Susan Hnatiuk (Gordon), Carmen Durbacz (Anthony) and Carole Mayer (Michel) all of Sudbury, also survived by sons Andrew (Ramona) of Calgary and Tim of Sudbury. Proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Simone’s Life on Saturday, October 28, 2017 between 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Le Club Amical du Nouveau Sudbury, 553 Lavoie Street, Sudbury. A private family service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.
