It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of “Emma” Jean Adair, 86yrs, on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Health Sciences North with loving family by her side. Cherished wife of (William) Tom Adair. Much loved Mother of Diane Mintz of Burks Falls Ontario, Brian Mintz (predeceased) of Brampton Ontario, Gloria Noel (Brian) of Capreol Ontario. Beloved grandmother of Shawn, Shelly, Cory, Rob, Jackie (Shane), Brooker, Maverick, great grandmother of Paige, Emma Sarah, Dillon, Cory Jr, Kylie, Gavin, Brooke, Sienna, Melody, Sierra and great-great grandmother of Ethan, Everleigh, Rory, Violet, Penelope, Octavia. Jean (Mom) was a foster parent to 22 lucky children over the years. Jean then went back to school and became a Health Care Aide. She worked several years at Green Gables nursing home in Stouffville Ontario caring for the elderly. She loved her 3 children and 25 grandchildren and always enjoyed the visits and any time spent with them. Spending time travelling with Tom to Florida for the winters and many camping trips, picnics around Ontario was her absolute favorite thing she enjoyed. She also loved the family reunion every year. She always looked forward to catching up with the many relatives sharing humorous stories. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends she made over the 86 years. Special thanks to LHIN, Bayshore, Paramed and the caring Doctors and nursing staff 6th Floor respiratory for the care and compassion given to Jean. Due to the pandemic there will be no service. However, a Celebration of Life will take place in the spring if safe to do so.
