Bissonnette, Lionel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lionel Bissonnette on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Health Sciences North at the age of 77 years. Lionel was born in 1942 in Whitney, ON. He was the son of the late Victor and Martha (Chapeski). Loving husband and best friend for 63 years to Marguerite (Riopelle). Beloved Dad of Christina (Steve), dedicated gramps to Jessie (Jordan) and Ricky (Katrina). Great Grandfather to Brooklyn. He will be missed by his surviving siblings Mary Blasutti, and Linda Tchorzewski. Predeceased by his sister Edna Stillar and by his brother Cecil Bissonnette. Will be missed by his good friend Marcel Chretien. Thank you to the RN's Anne Marie and Rudy from Extendicare Falconbridge for showing so much compassion for my Dad and to his amazing PSW Anne Marie for being so good to him all these years. The family would like to thank the nursing staff on 6th floor South tower for the compassion and care they showed to our family. Lionel was a hard-working man who loved being with his family. He worked at INCO as an electrician for 40 years. He loved bowling on Tuesday night in the mixed league at Notre Dame Bowl, always cheering everyone on. He will be greatly missed. As per Lionel's request there will be no funeral or mass.
