The family announces with great sorrow the sudden passing of Marc Lecompte, 55 years, on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Born in Sudbury he was the son of Ronald Lecompte (predeceased) and Damienne (née Cloutier) Lecompte. Beloved husband of 34 years to Lise (née Branconnier) Lecompte of Sudbury. Loving father of Sylvie Breau (Richard) of Azilda. Cherished grandfather of Isabelle and Kaleb. Dear brother of France (Paul) Daoust and Christine (Bill) Lafantaisie. Adored son-in-law of Henri and Rita (née Bigras) Branconnier of Sudbury. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, co-workers and friends. Marc was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed camping, fishing and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a man who was passionate about his work, led by example and appreciated the simple things in life. The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU/CVT at Health Sciences North for the care and compassion they provided to Marc. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private gathering will be held in memory of Marc at a later date.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Marc’s passing. He was a great guy and I enjoyed working with him for many years when we worked together at MineTech. He will truly be missed, my condolences to the family.
