76 Years
Surrounded by his loving family, Gordon Desjardins passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2021 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Rosanna (nee Nicolucci) and Diane (Cuddy – predeceased). Loving father of Troy (Michele) and Dawn (Andrew Holmes). Cherished grandfather of Zachary (wife Sydney), Maxwell, Erik, Calvin (wife Hanna), Summer, and Bella. Son of Edward and Jeanne (Bigras) Desjardins both predeceased. Dearly loved brother of Joyce (Sterling Johnson), Jeannette predeceased (Brian Cresswell), Richard (Carol-Ann), Denis predeceased (Glenda), Louis (Marion), Mark (Kim) and Diane (Wayne Bingham) both predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends whom he loved so very much. He proudly worked as an electrical foreman with Falconbridge LTD with 3 grandsons following in his footsteps. He was an extremely loving man who cherished everyone who touched his life. He loved sitting in his gazebo, listening to the oldies and enjoying the beautiful scenery of Lake Wahnapitae. Gord was most happy when surrounded by family and friends enjoying good food and a glass of wine. Special thanks to Dr. Garrioch, Dr. Ravi, Dr. Cameron, and their staff for their compassionate care. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service or visitation. There will be a celebration of life arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Heart and Stoke Association and would be appreciated.
Dear Rosanna and family,
Val and I would like to send our deepest condolences. We were very sorry to hear the news. You and Gord were always so welcoming with good conversations and he will be missed. We will have a glass of wine on his behalf.
Take care,
Tim and Val

Our sincere condolences to Rosanna, Troy, Dawn and family. Gord was a fine husband and like all Desjardins men, an incredible father. We were so fortunate to have known Gord for so many years. Every time we saw each other was a moment to remember. His keen sense of humour, his big heart and his extreme generosity always shone through and he made great wine! In some measure Gord helped David with his career in Ottawa by walking him through industrial electrical systems. He was well liked, no, well loved by our children. We will miss him dearly.

Rosanna and all of Gordie’s family, our deepest condolences at Gordie’s passing. Take comfort that he is now at peace and without pain and discomfort. We enjoyed his company over the years, with his laughter and love of wonderful food, we will always remember these times together. He struggled with health issues in the last few years that it made it difficult to get together, but he still kept in touch by phone. Know that he will be missed by many.
