Bennett, Irwin Millar

It is with heavy hearts filled with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Irwin Millar Bennett, 60 years old at his residence on Saturday, May 23, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Irwin is leaving behind his loving wife Lise Bennett and his daughters Natalie Moncion-Johnson (Dave) and Chantal Albert (Dorian). Beloved pépère to his 6 grandchildren: Stella, Haydee, Delia, Ruby, Natas and Piper. Cherished son of Millar Bennett and Muriel (Davidson) Bennett (predeceased). Dearly loved brother of Lorraine Huckabone (Gordon), Wayne Bennett (Paula), and Heather Watson (Mike). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Irwin was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He proudly dedicated his career fighting fires with the Ministry of Natural Resources. A true family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren: whether swimming with them in the pool or having dance parties in the living room. He will be fondly remembered by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life in memory of Irwin will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irwin’s memory can be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society.
