It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gladys Evelyn Walker Dolan (nee Tennant) on Thursday, May 8th, 2025, at Extendicare York, Sudbury.
Born on January 18th, 1927 in Parry Sound, Ontario, to James Tennant and Emma (nee Megann) Tennant. Gladys was raised on a farm in New Liskeard with a close loving family that she cherished dearly her entire life. She loved to spend time with her late husband Fred Dolan and with her two sisters, Grace (Ed) predeceased and Merle (Denis) predeceased. Her life was enriched by many close dear friends who would comfort her to her last days. Gladys was the loving mother of Nancy (John, predeceased), Wendy (predeceased) (Tap), Judy, Peter (Cheryl), John (Christine), and David (Bunny). She leaves behind nine grandchildren Colin, Craig, Steven, Kevin, Britney, Mandy, Eden, Venesa, and Jason and eight great grandchildren.
Gladys had a most positive outlook on life and never spoke of or dwelled on negative thoughts, which made her a pleasure to be around.
I am so deeply sorry for your loss, she was an amazing friend to my mother.
