Teuvo Tikkanen passed away on July 15, 2025. He was born in Muhos, Finland in 1938. He is survived by his wife Anneli Tikkanen, and son Jack (Jaakko) Tikkanen and predeceased by his son John (Juho) Tikkanen. In Finland, he is predeceased by his parents Vaino and Helina Tikkanen and brother Ilkka and survived by his sister Paivikki, brothers Keijo and Rauno and many nieces and nephews. Teuvo was known for being a good man and a hard worker. He worked at Vale for 30 years and in his retirement he very much enjoyed working outdoors, trimming trees and maintaining the property. He was an avid reader, reading all the books in the Jack Reacher series, and enjoyed watching NBA Basketball and Formula One racing. He was a great cook on the barbeque and an expert on making "lattyja", Finnish pancakes. Teuvo will be dearly missed. A very special thank you to the staff at the Emergency Room at Health Sciences North for their kindness and compassion in caring for Teuvo and making his last hours comfortable. At Teuvo's request there will be no service or visitation.
