It is with deep love and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Denise St-Georges, (née Sylvestre) on December 6, 2025. Denise was born on March 29, 1939, in Lavigne, Ontario. Denise is predeceased by her parents, Albert Sylvestre and Anna Sylvestre (née Rousseau), her brother Conrad Rousseau and sister Marie Laure (Mary Lou) Rowlands. Denise is predeceased by her husband, Lionel St-Georges, and predeceased by her partner, Jim Newman.
Denise was a nurturing soul whose gentle, caring nature touched everyone around her. She had a remarkable gift for making others feel safe, supported, and deeply valued. Whether offering guidance, comfort, or simply a warm presence, she devoted her life to caring for others, family and friends, and anyone who needed kindness.
She treasured the company of her loved ones, and family gatherings. Visits with family, friends and moments of laughter were her greatest joys.
She was wonderfully creative, and her family cherishes the many pieces of art, crafts, and home projects she lovingly made and gifted to them.
Denise is survived by her sister Cecile Gagnon, with whom they shared great laughs and memories together. She also leaves behind her loving children, Suzanne Richard (Jean-Guy), Gilles St-Georges (Therese), Daniel St-Georges (Sirkka), Michel St-Georges (Lisa) and Linda Thompson (Harry). Denise was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each whom she loved and cherished with all of her heart. Her joy in their lives was immeasurable and her spirit will continue to live on through them.
Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate the remarkable life Denise lived, a life marked by compassion, creativity, warmth, and unwavering love. Her legacy of kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in peace, our beautiful Mother.
