Scott, Ella (Medley)

In loving memory of Ella Marie (Medley) Scott, who passed away peacefully at HSN at the age of 79 on August 18^th, 2025.

Beloved wife of 61 years to Billy (William) Scott, Sudbury, Ontario. Loving mother of Michael, Paul, and Kelly Lawrence (Shawn). Cherished grandmother of Shalimar, Chanel, Kyngston and Jaxson. Dearest great-grandmother of Autumn and Owen.

Ella loved life. Always looking her best, whether it be going for long walks or the food court enjoying a coffee with Billy. She volunteered at Elections Canada, Meals on Wheels and Out of The Cold Meals. Ella always attended Sunday Service at Grace United Church, participating in the choir, baking pies and knitting slippers for various church functions. She worked for many years as a school crossing guard, and before retirement took great pride of her fresh fish market display at Miracle Mart. Ella loved her family to the fullest and always had such a kind and gentle heart. She will be greatly missed by her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she always looked forward to seeing.  Family and friends will always remember her infectious smile, unforgettable laugh and her love for music and dancing. On behalf of the Scott Family, we are forever thankful to the community support workers, the PSW’s at Extendicare Countryside (Vanessa, Mary and Terry), along with the entire staff on the 4th floor at HSN Hospital. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Grace United Church in memory of Ella. As per Ella’s wishes, there will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
