Sarazin, Alma Margaret (Gilchrist)

July 5, 1949 – October 31, 2025

In loving memory of Alma (Gilchrist) Sarazin, 76 who passed away Friday, October 31, 2025 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury.

Alma was born July 5, 1949 in Kimberly, BC to Alma (Stuart) and Duncan Gilchrist and raised in Ontario by Donalda (Beange) and Gilbert Gilchrist.

She worked as a cosmetician before staying at home to raise her two boys. She struggled with mental health issues and treatment which caused renal failure, but her positive and happy soul touched so many of the people she met right to her last day. 

Wife of the late Gerard Sarazin. Mother of Paxton (Gin Snow), Preston (Stephanie Hughes), and mother-in-law of Monique Sarazin. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Paul-Jeanna, Elodie, Arwen, and Landon. Sadly missed by her cousin and closest friend Donna Bailey.

Alma was sister to: Barbara (Desjardins), Carol (Carl Pocha), Donna (Joseph Boudreau) of British Columbia; Lorna (Roger Tremblay), Sharon (Paul Brown), David, and Sarah (Mervin Bowerman) of Ontario.

Burial at Grimesthorpe Cemetery at a later date.
