August 26, 1939 – July 07, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marguerite Roberti, at the age of 85, on July 7th, 2025. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Marguerite's life was defined by her vibrant personality, dedication to her family, and compassion for others.
Marguerite was born in Sudbury, Ontario on August 26th, 1939 to Rocco and Faustina (Ricciuto) D’Angelo (both predeceased). She will be reunited with her lifetime husband, Robert Roberti (predeceased) of 64 years. Loving sister of Dominic D’Angelo (predeceased) and Joanne Patten.
She is survived by her daughters Melanie and Adriana (George), and her cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Megan (Ryan), Michael, Robert, and Robyn. Will be missed by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and David Wilton and sister-in-law Roxana Roberti. She will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family, all of whom were fortunate to know her loving heart.
She treasured all her friends that she made over the years and their wonderful times together. Marguerite enjoyed her retirement years, many of which she spent in Florida enjoying the sun, her Floridian friends, and of course shopping. She will be very sadly missed by all.
Marguerite retired from the Sudbury Catholic District School Board. During her retirement years she took up a variety of hobbies; painting, woodworking, golfing and social activities with friends. She was always available for her grandchildren and never missed any special occasions.
Marguerite was a woman of great strength, integrity, devoted to her faith and family. Marguerite lived life to the fullest which was infectious to all around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and love.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Road on Friday July 11th, 2025 at 11:00am. Friends are welcome to gather at the church after 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Northern Cancer Fund or any organization of your choice in Marguerite’s honor.
I am sad to hear that Marguerite passed away so suddenly after Bob’s death. She was a beautiful woman with a witty sense of humour, always a smile on her face. I found her to be a woman devoted to God and Mary, strong in her faith and a model of prayer for her family. Marguerite was a dear friend to me and my family throughout the years and I will treasure the moments we had together at Our Lady of Hope. May you find courage, strength and comfort during this time of grief in close family and friends and Christ Jesus.
Love,
Tina Giusto
