Robert “Bob” Langdon

(July 11, 1944 – January 4, 2026) passed away peacefully in the early morning hours at Espanola Regional Hospital, surrounded by love. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend—a man whose life was defined by integrity, compassion, hard work, and quiet strength.

He was predeceased by wife Mary Sayers – Langdon, his parents, Peter and Pearl Langdon (nee Johnson); his siblings Mary Frantilla (brother-in-law Willard), Reta Gordon (brother-in-law Jack), and Jim Langdon (sister-in-law Nellie); and his brother- and sisters-in-law on the Sayers family, with a special mention of brother-in-law Bud Fahrer.

Bob worked for many years at Inco (Blaster Bob) and later with the Township of Nairn as a general labourer, dedicating his life to his work and community. He was a true jack-of-all-trades—mechanics, woodworking, gardening, firewood cutting, and much more—and he took pride in his skills and hard work. He loved the outdoors, tending both vegetable and flower gardens, preserving his harvests, making maple syrup, fishing, and minnow trapping as well as hunting.

Bob was a man of faith, prayer, and devotion to family. He always put the well-being of those he loved above his own. He is now at peace, free from pain, and lovingly walked home with prayers, cedar, and tobacco.

Bob’s legacy lives on through the compassion, dedication, and unconditional love he demonstrated every day. His family will honor him by continuing to care for one another in the same spirit he shared so freely.
