Marcel passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. His final days were filled with heartwarming stories, fond memories, expressions of gratitude, love, laughter, and numerous hugs and kisses. He was loyal and kind…even when he was busy, he always made time for us…ALWAYS.
Marcel was the baby brother to six beautiful sisters, the comic relief of his 4 sisters in laws, 10 brothers in laws and a loving mother-in-law. His personality and humour made him a favorite among numerous nieces and nephews. Marcel absolutely adored his daughters-in-law, Krista and Sara, reminding his sons how lucky they are to have them. Marcel was a rock to his three grandchildren Isabel, Xander and Lia, rarely missing a sport event or school function. He was an encouraging and supportive father to his sons Bobby and Ricky, and a best friend and devoted spouse to his wife Debbie, of 51 years.
Our family has been prepared for this moment and will continue to support one another, as we always have. Although things will change, we are confident that we can navigate these changes together and are committed to making him proud. We are aware that Marcel’s absence will be deeply felt, but we also know that he has left our hearts and souls filled with an abundance of love, laughter, and optimism, which will sustain us for the rest of our lives.
In accordance with Marcel’s wishes, there will be no funeral, as he planned to book a tee off time at the Pearly Gates Golf Club. While we will no longer be watching the Toronto Maple Leafs games together, we kindly ask that you think of Marcel during your next Duct Tape purchase, with a nod to his playful spirit!
His parting words, “Time to Shine”, will continue to inspire those who loved him.
My condolences to Deb, Bob and Rick and your families. Marcel and I shared some good times coaching and helping each other with renovations for our growing families. He had a way with words that always made me laugh. He will be greatly missed.

Marcel was a delightful man with a quick wit and good sense of humour. He was a joy to be with. Hope you get a hole in one up there.
