Prevost, Gilbert Lucien

January 9, 1948 – May 5, 2025

With wings you go, after a long battle with lung disease, which took him in the end. Gil was a longterm and dedicated employee of Parmalat Dairies for 43 years, retiring in 2012. He went on to have many great adventures with his Sweetheart Lynda. They enjoyed travelling, fishing, hunting, country music, and many other adventures. His most memorable trip was to the Yukon. Gil was wise and accomplished at many things. If you wanted help, he was there for you, and if you needed a hand, he was there.

Proud father of Jean-Paul Prevost (Andrea), Robert Prevost (Chantal), Mike Prevost (Tina), Anne Prevost predeceased, and stepfather to Heather Cheredaryk (Paul), all of Greater Sudbury. Proud grandfather (“Pepere”) of 8 loving grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Leone (Rainville-Ducharme) and Jean Paul Prevost. Dear brother of Pauline (friend Jean-Claude), Lise, Marie-Paule (Paul) both predeceased, Denis (Lorna), Carmen (Stephen), Rachelle (Nelson), and Julie. Loving brother in law to Debbie & Larry, Leon predeceased, Wayne & Lee, Vicki & Ray, Tracy & Carol, Joanne & Bruce. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his little girl, “Buttercup”. The family wishes to thank the Staff of the Health Sciences North Emergency Department. Donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated. At Gil’s request there will be no visitation or service.

Go rest high on that mountain, son, your work on Earth is done.
