The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Richard Pilon, 62 years, who passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. Beloved son of the late Roméo and Denise Pilon (nee Gratton). Loving brother of Lucien (Irene) both predeceased, Roger (predeceased) (Nicole), Gerry (Debbie), Rejean (Juliette), Aurel (Lila), Gabriel McPhee (Kevin) and Gaetane Brightman (Robin). Richard will be missed deeply by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Richard loved life and took pleasures in the small things like cooking, campfire, a good game of bingo and a nice cold beer. He especially loved celebrations with family and friends. Richard left a permanent impression with all those that had the pleasure of meeting him and he will be remembered as a favorite to so many people for his kind heart, sense of humour and “joie de vivre”. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his healthcare team that provided care, compassion and respected his wishes until the very end. Cremation has taken place as per Richard’s wishes and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

We would like to send our condolences to every family member. Richard was one of the first people we met when we moved here about 25 years ago. He was always kind and always had a smile for us. He will be missed forever. We will keep you all in our hearts during these hard days. RIP Richard you were a great man.
