Michael Grant Rene Fortier

October 12, 1978 - June 2, 2025

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Michael (Mike) Fortier, Monday June 2nd, 2025 at the age of 46 years.

Beloved husband of Tanja Fortier. Loving father of Savannah Fortier, and stepfather to Dustin Boudreau and Austin Boyd. Beloved son of Rene and Debbie (predeceased) Fortier of Sudbury. 

Dear brother of Chantelle (Alain) Bedard. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews Parker, Ryder, Brooklyn, Brianne, Ashton and Jesse. Cherished nephew to many aunts and uncles, and cousin to many. Sadly missed by his best friends Jeff and Amanda Benvenuti and Ron and Leanne Levesque.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Trenton Garreau for all of his kindness and actions.

Mike was a gentle giant, he had a heart of gold and would lend a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed playing Texas Horseshoes at his camp at Cedar Grove and made many friends who became part of his camp family. Mike loved hunting, fishing and living each and every day to the fullest. He was a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan and loved watching the Toronto Blue Jay's play.

Celebration of life to be held at Cedar Grove Campground in the pavilion located in Whitefish Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
