It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Neil McBride on December 9th, 2025. Neil was an avid outdoorsman who found his greatest joy on the water, especially with a fishing rod in hand. A gifted carpenter, he had the rare ability to build, repair, or re-purpose anything, transforming ordinary materials into custom pieces full of character and creativity.
Neil will be remembered as a kind and loving man with an unforgettable sense of humour—someone who could lift spirits and bring light to even the hardest moments.
Beloved father of Ryan Tooley (Beth), Ashley Rocca, and Jessica Laliberte (Chris). He will be deeply missed by his common-law spouse, Heather Matt, and her daughters Sarah and Mikayla Matt. He leaves behind five beautiful grandchildren.
Neil was the dear son of Vernon and Isabel McBride (both predeceased). Loving brother of Lanny (predeceased), Patrick (predeceased) (Frances), Verna (John) (both predeceased), Frances (Roy – predeceased), Judy (predeceased), June (Charles), and Robert. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Neil’s warmth, humour, and craftsmanship touched countless lives, and his memory will be forever treasured by all who knew him.

We are deeply saddened with Neil’s passing. Our deepest and sincerest sympathies to his family and Heather. He was a great man and will be missed. I remember his laugh and all the help that he gave to us !!
