Marshall, Marlene (nee Leslie)

November 22, 1953 – August 12, 2025
A life defined by infallible kindness and limitless generosity.

With deep love and sadness, the family of Marlene Marshall announces her passing on August 12, 2025, at the age of 71.

Born in Blind River, Ontario, to the late Logan and Sigrid Leslie, Marlene’s life was filled with creativity, kindness, and devotion to those she loved. She had a lifelong passion for sewing and crafts and a special place in her heart for her dogs. Marlene was also a proud and longtime affiliate member and volunteer of the Royal Canadian Legion, where she gave her time generously to her community.

Marlene will be deeply missed by her husband, Ken; her son Jacey and his wife Nathalie; her brother Luke and his wife Gisline; her stepchildren Kimberly, Connie, Kelly, Corey-Jo, Troy, Blaine, and Jamie; as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Baby.

She was predeceased by her brother, Eldon; her sister, Sharon; and her cherished dogs Peaches, Blue, Candy, Bailey, Cujo, and Brandy.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Hillside Cemetery, Blind River, Ontario, where Marlene will be laid to rest among loved ones.

Marlene will be remembered for her generosity, her sense of humor, her love of family, and the warmth she brought into every room she entered.
