LECUYER, Jacqueline “Jackie” (Pilon)

Jacqueline (Jackie) Lécuyer, our beloved mother passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025 at Extendicare York, Sudbury Ontario at the age of 91 years.

She was born in Coniston to the late Isidore and of the late Germaine (née Lapierre) Pilon. Dear sister of Lorraine Rochon (Denis), Jeannine and Claude Sylvestre (both predeceased), Yvonne Rochon (Yvon) (both predeceased), Colombe Rochon (Alban predeceased), Madeleine Rochon (predeceased) (Éloi), Marcel Pilon (Françoise) and Valérie Miron (Jean-Guy). Predeceased by her sister Sylvia.

Beloved mother of Thérèse Hayes (Henry), Pauline Rochon (Henri Ruest), Rhéal J. Rochon (Pauline Gaudette predeceased), Claude Rochon (Mona) and Guy Rochon (Kathleen Dupuis).  And beloved stepmother to Diane Lécuyer (Rhéal Berthiaume), Yvonne Roy (Gilbert predeceased) and Denis Lécuyer (predeceased). She had 16 grandchildren (2 predeceased) and was very proud of their accomplishments. In addition, she had 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Jackie and Maurice enjoyed their summers at their cottage on Birch Lake while spending winter months in Arizona. Jackie also enjoyed watching the Y & R, playing games and crocheting blankets with her volunteer group.  Her final blanket was unknowingly made for herself. Jackie will be remembered for her late-night fish fries at the cottage, wearing her favourite color purple, and for her generous heart.

Her family would like to thank the caregivers at Extendicare York who went above and beyond in making her comfortable in her final days. Your kindness and care for our mother were greatly appreciated.

We hope you are having fun with all who went before you. We will miss you forever Mom.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf church Monday, December 8, 2025 at 10:30 am.

  1. Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Jackie. The first time I met her was when Don and I were on our way to the Expo in Montreal. Over the years we saw her many times in Sudbury, Winnipeg and Mesa AZ. An interesting story related to Mesa, we decided to go to Costco on a rainy day, Jackie and Maurice had gone there with a neighbour. We elected to going in and they were leaving when we met up by accident. We were invited back to their trailer where we had a special day and dinner.
