Haryett, Serena “Billie”

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Serena “Billie” Haryett has passed peacefully away at HSN in Sudbury, Ontario on Saturday, October the 18^th, 2025, surrounded by her family. Daughter of Kim Roy and Kevin Haryett, stepdaughter to Kevin Morgan, sister to Kelsey Haryett, and Devon Haryett (Rima). Spouse of 13 years to Gabriel “Gabe” Marchment of Sudbury. Stepsister to Tiffany Fortin (Dorice), Michelle Carscadden (Devin), and very good friend Émilie Gascon. Cherished granddaughter to Richard Roy (Diane). Beloved granddaughter to Gisele St-Onge of Sudbury, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins scattered across the country. A special shout out to Satch and Sherry from SACY for being there for her like family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends in the community. Serena had a heart of gold, and would always be thinking of other people before herself, no matter what she was going through. Often times found happily walking (really fast lol) along the roads picking up shiny trinkets she would always seem to find, and showing them excitedly to her family and friends. Her laugh was as infectious as her smile, and always brightened up a room. Her intellectual sarcasm and quick wit would leave you in tears (you pick the kind). She will be dearly missed in our clan and in the communities. As is our way, we believe that death is just another stop along the way, and is the beginning of other adventures yet to come. Rest easy, little crow, it is time to lay down your burdens.

We wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the HSN intensive care unit for the amazing and dignified treatment they showed her in her final moments. Celebration of life to be held at the Polish Combatants Hall on Albinson Street on Saturday, November 22^nd from 1PM til 5PM. All are welcome to attend. If you have any photos of Serena/Billie that you would like to share, please feel free to bring them, and to tell us the stories of her varied life. All photos will be returned upon request.
