Passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North surrounded by her family and friends on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the age of 70. Daughter of the late Ovila and Germaine (nee Bouvier) Goulard. Special friend to Norm Ross of Hanmer. Loving mother of Marc Lapointe (Joanne) of Innisfil, Andy Lapointe (Tina) of London and Angèle Mrochek (JP) of Hanmer. Beloved grandmother of Charlene, Renée, Justin and Vincent Lapointe, Ariel and Anthony De Aguiar, Mathieu, Martin and Miguel Mrochek. Survived by her brothers Albert Goulard (Gisèle), Richard Goulard (Claudette), Rolland Goulard (Karen) and sister in-law Claire Goulard Rainville (Ray Rainville). Predeceased by her brother Hector Goulard and sister Diane Goulard Ouelette. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, father of the children Harold Lapointe, friends and relatives. Denise was happiest cooking for family and friends, she taught ceramics for 18 years and worked at numerous variety stores in the Valley where she always served her customers with a wonderful warm smile. Denise always generously donated her time and skills for numerous fundraisers and events. She was a proud member of the Fédération des femmes canadiennes-françaises St-Jacques Hanmer and the Senior Citizen Club Capreol. In keeping with Denise’s wishes, family will receive relatives and friends at 10:30 am, followed by a Memorial Mass on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 am at St-Jacques Church, 46 Cote Blvd., Hanmer.
