Gerling, Todd

March 9, 1966 – December 31, 2025

The family announces with sadness his unexpected passing, peacefully at home, on December 31st at the age of 59 years.

Son of Ronald and Marie-Berthe Gerling (Roy), both predeceased.  Todd was also predeceased by his grandparents George & Lucienne (Laurin) Gerling and Albert & Evangeline (Farmer) Roy.

Todd was very proud of and will be missed by his children Emily, Nathan, and Owen (Mother Angela). 

He also leaves behind his siblings Rodney and Deanna (John) Farkas. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Todd worked for The Beer Store, in different capacities and locations within Greater Sudbury, for 30+ years before retiring in 2022. 

He had a passion for hockey and was involved as goalie, hockey Dad, coach and was an avid Leaf’s fan.  In his younger years, he enjoyed golfing with friends as well as with his children.  He will also be remembered for his love of music and playing the guitar.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.

    You were more than a cousin,I would say a best friend. I looked up to you in many ways…from you helping me with goalie drills, to being your back up in family tournaments. I didn’t play much cause you were the best, and many would agree. You took me under your wing at the Beer Store, those were fun days. Many other adventures, camp on Vermillion River, playing mens league or just hanging out. Always the life of the party! Myself and many others will miss you, that laugh, the character, Todd Gerling…Love You buddy!
