Delay, Rejeanne (née Nault)

It is with saddened hearts that the family announces her passing at the Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury at the age of 78. She lost her battle with cancer December 1st, 2025. Even on hard days, her courage inspired all who knew her.

She leaves behind her two children Nicole Delay Middleton (Bryan), Mike Delay (Carole), her grandchildren Gabrielle (John), Alex; her step-grandchildren Lisa, Karen, and her step great-grandchildren Jayden and Maddox. She is survived by her loving sisters Diane (Greg) and Rollande.

She was a retired bus driver from Sudbury Transit.  She enjoyed the outdoors (baseball, camping, fishing), was an excellent pool player and loved country music.

The warmth and happiness she brought to us cannot be overstated. She touched the hearts of family, friends, and anyone who knew her.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. As per Reg’s expressed wishes, a private family gathering will be held for her, honoring her life and the love of her family.

The staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice were compassionate and caring and offered reassurance and peace through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions in Rejeanne Delay memory be made to Foundation de la Maison de soins palliatifs de Sudbury Hospice Foundation.

  2. Dear Nicole and Mike! Hans and I send our deepest condolences at the loss of your dear mom! I have not seen your mom in many years, we lost contact when we moved into Sudbury from the valley, I saw her a few times when she lived on Barrydowne Rd. I thought of her many times and wished we could have reconnected. Your mom was a great support to me when our daughter Tamara was sick in 1978. Thinking and praying for you during this sad time. Hugs from Hans and Debbie Van Vehmendahl (not sure if you remember us living next door to you on Larocque)

  4. Dearest Nicole, Mitch and Family,
My deepest condolences go out to you and the family during this trying time.. I am so glad I got to see your mom in the summer of 24, I left Sudbury close to midnight to head back home, she packed me a lunch for my road trip so I wouldn’t have to stop anywhere. Your mom was a great lady who I have always loved and adored.
