Dalpe, Elizabeth Jane (nee Lejambe) of Dowling, ON. Elizabeth was born November 9, 1937 in Sudbury, ON. She passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at the age of 80 at Health Sciences North with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Paul Dalpe for 57 years. Daughter to the late Alice and Leslie Lejambe. Loving mother of Deborah Niemi (Roger), Jill Niemela (Kevin) and Dean Dalpe (Karrie-Ann). Cherished grandmother of John Niemi (Ashlyn), Kayley Niemela, David Niemi, Amy Niemela, Aidan Dalpe and Ethan Dalpe. Dear sister of Jim Lejambe (Nancy) and Mary McKee (Ken). Loving Aunt to Brad McKee (predeceased) and Ryan McKee (Vicky), Barbara Otto (Troy) and Leslie Lejambe (Vicky). Elizabeth was an Emergency Room Nurse before becoming ill with Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was an accomplished seamstress and wonderful cook. Family gatherings and spending weekends at the family camp on Windy Lake were her most cherished times in addition to shopping for shoes. A Celebration of Elizabeth’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the family home in Dowling. Donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
Paul and family…..We were so sadden by the passing of Beth. She was certainly a very brave and strong person…battling her disease all these years. Paul you were amazing in the care and comfort you provided Beth throughout her illness and in doing so you enriched Beth’s, your children’s and your own life. It was always enjoyable spending time with Beth as she was a very knowledgeable and interesting lady. She will be dearly missed by many. Rest In Peace Beth.
