It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Jack, surrounded by the love of his family, at Health Sciences North on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the age of 80.
Jack was a devoted father to Trudy (David) and Tammy, and a cherished grandfather to Hollianne, Amy, Morgan and Tyler. He will be fondly remembered by his great-grandchildren: Zander, Zaiden, Mazikeen, Sophia and Lincoln.
He was a loving brother to Don and Lloyd, and is predeceased by his brothers George and Russell, and his sisters Gwen, Ruth, and Mildred (Milly). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Jack gave generously of his time to his community. He was a volunteer at the local curling club, where he shared his love of the sport and friendship with many. He was also a proud member of the Lions Club, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Jack has now joined his best friend Len in Heaven, where they’ll no doubt be sharing a beer and a cigar. He will be deeply missed by his golfing, fishing, and hunting buddy, Marie.
In keeping with Jack's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or formal service. A private interment will be held at a later date in Haliburton.
Jack’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Jack was often the go to fellow around the curling club. He spent countless hours tending bar and having conversations with many fellow curlers. He was always ready to lend a helping hand for any worthy cause be it for Lions the curling club or other community ventures. He will be missed by many.

Jack was a dedicated Lion member. He enjoyed many events and selling Catch the Ace tickets at Tanners. He was always very man I always enjoyed speaking with him. He will be missed by his Lions Club.

So sorry to lose Jack. He was such a kind and upbeat person. We will miss our friend from the curling club, the Lion’s Club and our neighbor from around the corner.
