Hello everyone. We just wanted to update everyone on the plans. As I mentioned the celebration of life will be held August 9th at Lake Lauzon Campground, cabin #3, right on the highway by Algoma Mills.
I have received Anishinabek teachings from a Spiritual Practitioner and we will be holding a Sacred Fire from sunrise to sunset. There will be a keeper. There will be offerings by the fire (tobacco, sage, etc.), you can make an offering and speak to Kaleb, or pray for him to have a safe journey, to honor and thank him for the memories and joy he brought us and the lessons he taught us while he was here. If you would like to only come and make an offering and speak with him that is ok too.
There will be a Catholic celebration at 3:00pm at the cabin led by the priest from Ste-Famille in Blind River. Afterwards, there will be a feast!
If you would like to bring something, a dish of food, alcohol, wood or offerings for the sacred fire would be greatly appreciated.
Please bring your own chairs.
