Beland, Jeffrey

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Beland, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose life was defined by strength, deep love, and a profound appreciation for the simple, beautiful moments life offered.

He leaves behind his loving daughters, Pauline McDonald (Victor), Denise Keir (Doug), and Anne Matte (Richard). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Amanda, Sheena, Jeffrey, Ryan, Sarah, Michelle, and Darren, and a cherished great-grandfather to Haven, Jade, Émily, Alyson, Anna, Olivia, Logan, Ramsey, Étienne, Loick, Enzo, Rayden, and Émile. Each of them carried a special place in his heart and were a constant source of pride and joy throughout his life.

He grew up in the small town of Fort Coulonge, where he met and married his childhood sweetheart, Lorna. Together they later made their home in Levack, where he began a 34-year career with INCO. Known for his strong work ethic and steady dedication, he took great pride in providing for his family and building a life rooted in hard work, loyalty, and perseverance.

He found his greatest peace on the waters of Windy Lake and family trips to Indian Lake.

More than anything, his heart belonged to his beloved wife, Lorna—his queen. She was his partner in every sense of the word, the center of his world, and the person who made every place feel like home.

Family meant everything to him. It was the anchor of his life and the legacy he was most proud of. Whether through shared meals, stories told around the table, or peaceful days spent together by the water, he showed his family what love looked like through his actions every day. He had a way of making each person feel valued, reminding them that the greatest treasures in life are the people we hold close.

He leaves behind a family who will forever carry his lessons, his laughter, and his love in their hearts.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever part of the places and people he held dear.
