It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cecile Auger, who left us on Monday, March 23rd, 2026, at Health Sciences North, surrounded by loved ones. Raised in Foleyet, Ontario, Cecile brought her unmistakable spark and generous spirit to everyone she met. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Christopher Auger (Kayla) and Sarah Auger, and by her cherished granddaughter, Éva Auger. Cecile is survived by her parents, Rejeanne Jodouin and Nelson Langlais, as well as her siblings Nicole, John Auger (Julie), Joanne Jodouin, Lynn Ainslie (John), JR Langlais (Kelly), and Michelle Langlais (Jamie). She will also be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews and by her close friends Dottie Niemi, Lori‑Lynne Francis, Carrie Dixon, and Marcel Chretien. Cecile was a true firecracker—full of life, laughter, and the kind of warmth that embraced all. Her generosity knew no limits; she was the first to lend a hand and would have given the shirt off her back to anyone in need. A celebration of life for close family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Petsave Sudbury would be greatly appreciated, reflecting Cecile’s love of animals. May her vibrant spirit, kindness, and love continue to shine through those who were lucky enough to know her.
