February 10th, 1963 - December 26th, 2025

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robbie Armstrong at the age of 62. Robbie passed away peacefully, surrounded by his most beloved family at Health Sciences North (ICU).

Robbie was a living and devoted husband to his wife and soulmate, Marie-Anne Ayers, of 37 years. Her dedication and care for him was unwavering as she ensured he was loved and supported with strength, compassion, and devotion every single day. Their bond was one of unconditional love, partnership, and friendship that truly defined their lives. 

Robbie was an extraordinary father to his daughters, Crystal Ayers (Eric) and Amanda Ayers (Gaetan), with whom he shared a special bond as he was not just her dad but her best friend, and a proud Papa to his grandchildren Micheal, Brandon, Jessie-Lynn, and Sarah-Anne (born sleeping).

Robbie is survived by his beloved sister Laurie MacKenzie (Dean) and his sister Carol. He is predeceased by his brothers Gerry, Danny, Randy, and Wayne.

Robbie will be especially missed by his loyal companion and shadow, Hazel. He was her favourite person and inseparable fetch partner.

Although Robbie was a lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan; his greatest passion and favourite pastime was spending time with his family at his camp on Naraka Lake. There he found true peace and joy, sharing cherished moments, laughter, and making lasting memories with those he loved most. Robbie especially loved bass fishing and enjoyed sharing his legendary fishing stories often told with pride, humour, and a sparkle in his eyes.

Robbie will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten by those lucky enough to have known him. As per Robbie’s wishes, there will be no viewing or service.
