It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved Äiti, Mummu, and Iso Mummu, Reetta Landin, at the age of 88, on Thursday, October 29, 2026, surrounded by her family at Health Sciences North.
Reetta was the loving wife and best friend of Teuvo Landin for over 60 years. Teuvo predeceased her.
She was the loving Äiti (Mother) of Eric (Caroline), Allan (Nicky), Nina (Mike), and Nancy (Darcy). Cherished Mummu (Grandmother) of Jesse (Meghan), Justin (Lauren), Matthew (Olivia), Amy (Derek), Kelsey (Chris), Bre (Jesse), Devan, Jordan, Blake, Alicia (Mike), and Devin (Riley); and proud Iso Mummu (Great-Grandmother) of Adelaide, David, Elizabeth, Judah, Sloane, Hudson, Tia, Cohen, Annabell, Harlow, Aubrey, Lucas, and Denver.
Reetta will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
As per her wishes, there will be no service or visitation. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Nina, Nancy, Eric and Allen.. I am in shock to read about the passing of your beautiful aiti.. She always brought such amazing light- and energy when she entered a room. Her laugh and smile always there. I can not begin to imagine what you are all going through. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers- and that heaven has gained an angel. Your dad patiently waiting.. I am so sad. She will be missed.. xox

Suurella kaipauksella ja lämmöllä muistamme rakasta ystäväämme Reettaa. 30 vuoden aikana koetut yhteiset seikkailut ja kauniit hetket Kanadan, Ruotsin ja Suomen maaperällä ovat elämämme kalleimpia aarteita. Erityisen kiitollisia olemme siitä, että Ari sai vielä menneenä kesänä viettää hetken Reetan rinnalla.
Vaikka Reetan poismeno jättää meihin kaikkiin suuren tyhjyyden, uskomme ja luotamme siihen riemun päivään, jolloin saamme jälleen sulkea Reetan ja Teuvon syleilyymme.
