It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to a dear friend, Shawna Lindsay Taylor, suddenly passing on Wednesday morning, September 23, 2026 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, Ontario, at the age of 40. Shawna was surrounded by her loving son Mason, brother Jesse Taylor, and her closest lifelong friends.
She is lovingly remembered and survived by her one and only son Mason Millwood (father of Mason; Chevron Millwood (Jonnel)), her “Bubba” Marge (Norm), dear brother Jesse (Kierstyn), a proud auntie to Ethan, Elizabeth, and Benjamin. Shawna is predeceased by father Don Taylor (2020) and her mother Laura Taylor (2022). Shawna will be missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness and love. She will be deeply missed by lifelong friends for 35 years and over; Amanda Beckerleg (Shawn), Meagan Merrett (Lance), Shannon Gervais (Saad), and Kristine Joly.
Shawna was the person forever taking pictures, had a passion for makeup and skincare routines, all things pink, and for having the best playlists of music. Above all, the most dedicated mother to her son Mason.
Mason was the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life. Everything she did was driven by the love for her son Mason. Shawna never missed a basketball practice or game and was his number one fan throughout. Shawna treasured every moment spent with Mason and created countless memories that will live on forever in his heart.
Through the many seasons of life, Shawna was not simply a friend, but an individual who brought laughter and love everywhere she went. The memories shared over this lifetime will remain with us, bringing both sorrow at the loss and gratitude for having known such a memorable person.
Shawna will be remembered for her bold spirit and loud laughter. Though her time with us was far too short, the love and memories she leaves behind will be cherished forever by all who knew and loved her.
You will never be forgotten, Shawna.
A celebration of Shawna’s life will be held on Sunday, November 1st, 2026 for family and friends to gather to honour her life from 1pm-4pm. Location: The Azilda Lions Club (Azilda Lions Community Centre) at 3964 Regional Rd 15, Chelmsford, ON P0M 1L0.
If anyone wishes to provide a donation, all proceeds will go towards her son Mason. Donations can be accepted via cash or e-transfer to: Chevyam@hotmail.com
