Michaud, Monique Mary

Monique Mary Michaud, 58 years passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North on July 18^th after a brief illness, with family at her side and in her heart.

Her life was one of both joy and hardship. She knew love and loss, connection and distance, and faced challenges that shaped the course of her journey. Through it all, she remained fiercely independent, generous to those she called friends, and known for her contagious laugh that could brighten a room.

Monique was predeceased by her parents Ray and Barbara Michaud.  She is survived by her children, Alicia (Josée), Shelby (Jayson), Reilly, and Rubin (Mia); 8 beautiful grandchildren as well as her 3 siblings Nicole, Michelle, and Raymond (Jennifer). Monique treasured her many friends who became her family over the years. We appreciate the care, love and support they provided to her.

We offer our sincere thanks to Shawn Moyle, RN. Shawn knew Monique long before he knew her as a patient, and he honoured her life—not just her illness. He met her with kindness, dignity, and compassion, reminding us that every person deserves to be seen beyond their struggles. His care was a gift to our entire family.

Those who knew her will remember her in their own way and carry forward the memories that are meaningful to them. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. No formal service will be held.
