Gaston Plamondon passed away June 25, 2026 at the age of 85 years after a courageous battle with cancer and Alzheimer. He leaves behind his loving wife Denise Forget Plamondon of 62 years. Predeceased by his two sons Terry Plamondon (45) and Bruce Plamondon (51). He is survived by his only sister Rejeanne Héroux (Marcel predeceased). His sibling the late Robert Plamondon, Colette & Armand Cyrenne, Emilien & (Ceddy) Plamondon, Gilles & Estelle Plamondon, Jacques & (Gisèle) Plamondon, Armande & George Lacroix, Marguerite & Rhéal Hamelin, Hélène Plamondon-Mongrain. He also leaves behind his sister-in law Fernande Toupin (late Ernest Toupin), Debbie Forgette (late Henry Forgette). He will be miss by many nieces and nephews and relatives and friends.
He retired from Falconbridge Mines (Glencore) after 30 years of services; he enjoyed 24 years of them and love it. He spent many years camping and boating love to play cards at Club Amical and doing other functions. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus with St-Marguerite de Y'Ouville in Val Thérèse for many years. He missed the comradery when his health failed. A dedicated fan of Toronto Maple Leaf (hockey in Canada) he calls it that. Ment no night out bring on the treats.
I wish to thank everyone from Northern Cancer Centre Dr Jani, Dr Ravi Singh, Dr. Kate Kauffeldt and all the nurses. Also, his home care nurse Corey and his care partner Aline and all the caregiver who supplied the needs for him.
A special thanks to his niece Francine Lacroix Rieux and Dan for all the rendez - vous that he so much appreciated. Aa per Gaston’s wishes there will be no funeral or service.
