Laberge, Catherine

September 17th, 1956 – June 12th, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Laberge on June 12th, 2026, in Sudbury. Catherine fought cancer with extraordinary courage and resilience. Following her first battle in 2020, she enjoyed a period of remission and truly lived life to the fullest, cherishing time with family and friends and embracing every opportunity that came her way. When cancer returned last spring at stage 4, she continued to face each day with strength, dignity, and an inspiringly positive spirit. Her courage and optimism remained with her until the very end, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Beloved daughter of the late Dan and Isabel Laberge, Catherine is survived by her beloved husband Dan Nellis. She leaves behind her loving children Andria (Yves) and Aimee Blanchard and her cherished grandchildren Connor (predeceased), Kaleb, and Alexis who brought her endless joy, treasuring every moment spent with them. She was a loving sister to Michael (Danielle) and Paul (predeceased)(Lisa).

Cathy took great pride in her more than 40 years of service within Sudbury’s legal community. Her career was an important part of her life, and she valued the relationships she built along the way. Known for her dedication, warmth, and strong work ethic, she made a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working with her. Although she loved her work, she was equally excited about retirement and the chance to enjoy more time with loved ones, pursue new adventures, and make the most of every day.

As per Catherine’s wishes there will be no public service. Her husband, brother, daughter, and all the family thank everyone for their kindness, support, and condolences during these difficult moments.
