It’s with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Henry (Harry) Blackmore on June 10, 2026 at St Joseph’s Continuing Care. He was born and raised in Buchans, Newfoundland. He later moved to Sudbury to be closer to his children and family. He loved his family wholeheartedly and was always happy to help in any way that he could. Harry is the son of John (Jack) and Bride (Byrne) Blackmore and a brother to two sisters, Mary and Angela. He was also a best friend to Mary and Ted Grichen. Harry is survived by his children: Chris (Nicole), Darin, Dean, Brian and Samantha (Roni), his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, our extended Grichen family and his friends. All of whom had a special place in his heart.
Our family would like to extend the biggest thanks to Samantha’s best friend Annette for her continuous love, care and support for Harry and our family. We would also like to give a special thank you to Darin for his continuous support and all the great adventures he shared with our dad. He is loved so much and will be greatly missed by all but especially by Grace who shared a special bond with her Papa Harry. “Watch yourself on the road”. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later dater.
