Passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North on Thursday April 30, 2026, at the age of 85.
Beloved wife of 62 years to Maurice “Moe” Sabourin (predeceased). Loving mother of Maurice “Moe” Jr., Kim Lachapelle (nee Sabourin), and Tina-Marie Rowe-Sabourin. Proud mamère of Scott Sabourin, Francis Lachapelle, Joey Lachapelle, Alex Rowe, Bradley Rowe, and Jessica Rowe. Adoring great grandmother of Willow Lachapelle. Cherished sister of Violet “Susie” Beatrice Perry (nee Ruff), brother Walter Richard “Dick” Ruff (predeceased). Dear Aunt to Kevin Marsh, Stacey Cornforth (Marsh), Tom Sabourin, Nicki Paventi (nee Sabourin), Daryl Peter Charette, Tanya-Eve Woodley (nee Charette), Steve Sabourin, Cheryl Sabourin, Susan Love (nee Perry), Robert, Kevin, Jeffrey, Christopher and Andrew Perry, Linda Farrington (nee Ruff), and Wayne and Dennis Ruff.
Marlyn will be sadly missed by the staff members, friends and golf partners at the Lively Golf and Country Club, as well as all her friends at 20 Hill Road apartment complex, Lively.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at Health Sciences North for their hard work, understanding, and professionalism in keeping her comfortable in her final hours.
As per Marlyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral services.
A Celebration of Marlyn’s Life will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 4:00 p.m. at the Lively Golf Club (305-A 6th Ave, Lively, ON) on the upper floor. All family and friends are invited.
If desired, donations may be made directly to a charity of your choice in Marlyn’s name and would be appreciated by the family.
