In loving memory of Steven “Steve” Lloyd Jobin
December 14, 1960 – March 22, 2026
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Steven Lloyd Jobin. Steve passed with his family, at his home, in Sudbury, Ontario, on the evening of March 22, 2026.
Steve was born in Streetsville, Ontario and grew up in North Bay, Ontario. He was the second oldest of four children and raised by his mother, Ruth and father, Lanny Sr. He attended Centennial College and began his career in Milton, Ontario. Steve was a mechanic by trade and later operated a successful truck and auto center with his family for many years. Jobin & Son’s Truck & Auto Center was his pride and joy; it brought him a great deal of happiness to have his four boys working under the same roof.
Steve will always be remembered as a loving father, devoted husband, and as a practical joker with a unique sense of humor. He had a work ethic like no other and accomplished many great feats throughout his life. Steve has always been able to inspire those around him to put their best foot forward. He was a larger-than-life kind of guy who lived by the motto “go big or go home”.
Steve will be missed by his loving wife, Lynne; his four sons, Adam, Sean, Kyle (Estella), and Aaron (Sophia); his daughter, Amy; his mother, Ruth; his brothers, Lenny (Joanne) and Lanny (Debbie); his sister, Debbie (Chris); his grandchildren, Ethan, Calie, Maxton; and many more friends and family.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Sudbury EMS and staff at Health Sciences North for their compassion and the care provided in times of need.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring; friends and family are all welcome to attend.
