It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of René at the age of 88. He passed peacefully surrounded by the love of his family by his side after a brief illness.
Son of the late Marie-Anne Labonté and Jean-Baptiste Deschamps.
Predeceased by his wife of 38 years Dorothy (2019), as well as siblings Paul, Roger, Gisèle, and Marie-Anne.
He leaves behind his children Dean (Darquise) and Linda (Terry); grandchildren Devon (Kate), Melanie (Josh), Jordan (Lina), Jesse, and Julia (Denver); great grandchildren Olivia, Kelly, and Charlie; as well as his sister Rita, nephews, nieces, sisters- and brothers- in-law.
René was a very gentle and kind soul who was always there to help out his family and friends. Among his many attributes he was trustworthy, honest, loyal, and an all around good man. He will be missed and remembered dearly by all who were lucky enough to have known him. Bonsoir xoxo
