Mary Marie Jones (Merritt) of Capreol, passed away on Thursday, February 12th, 2026 at the age of 83 surrounded by her loved ones. Marie was a founding member of the Capreol Food Bank (Bread and Roses) of Capreol, Ontario for the Trinity United Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had two children: Craig Jones, wife Kerri Jones and Mark Jones, wife Dianne Jones. She had eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She will be laid to rest beside her grandchild Laci at the Capreol Cemetery. A memorial service will be held with a luncheon on Friday, February 20th, 2026 at 11a.m. at the Trinity United Church in Capreol. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Bread and Roses food bank.
