The family announces the passing of Cheryl M. MacDonald on January 13, 2026 at Health Sciences North at the age of 81 yrs.
Cheryl was the sister and close confidante of Pauline Depatie. She is missed by Julie Baelde, Theresa Bruneau, Jay Lachapelle, Alain Dépatie, Angie Dépatie, Yvonne Audette, Steve and Christiane Tremblay, Georgette Bergeron, and numerous others.
Cheryl had extensive experience as a registered nurse, having worked for many years in Chapleau, Atikokan, Thunder Bay, and Sudbury. She also resided in Elliot Lake. Throughout her career, she has sponsored numerous families in need in Haiti and has supported various local charities, including the Elgin Street Mission and the Soup Kitchen.
