February 22, 1957 – January 15, 2026
Dan Mills of Sudbury, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North on January 15th, 2026.
Dan is lovingly remembered by his spouse, Nicole Mills. He was a devoted father to Darryl (Krista) and Michael (Kirsten), and a proud “Pa” and “Grandpa Dan” to Jasmine, Nicholas, Gavin, Connor, and Isabelle. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings John (Ilene), Lily (Tim), and Andrea (Lenny).
Dan was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and May.
A strong and kind man with a heart of gold, Dan was known for his unwavering work ethic. He spent over 40 years working as a miner. He cherished time spent with friends, cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, watching John Wayne movies, and enjoying a couple of cold ones—back in the 1980s at the Coulson and in more recent years at the Frood Hotel.
Those who loved Dan can find comfort in knowing that he has been reunited in the “after party” with many family members and friends, especially his dear friend, Dan Carriere.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held in June.
