In loving memory of Albert Chartrand, beloved husband of Catherine Chartrand (Boretz), who passed away Monday, December 29th, 2025 at Health Sciences North at the age of 79. He was the son of Leo Paul Chartrand and Marguerite Chartrand (Noel) both predeceased. Loving brother of Liz Kusan, Claudette Verbewski predeceased, Sue Brassard (Denis predeceased), Helen Zorn predeceased, and Gisele Roy. Loving father of Nannette and Jody Chartrand both predeceased. He will be missed by his granddaughters Kiersty, Kailee, and Tranea and many great-grandchildren. Also survived by stepchildren Jennifer Oechsler (Dan), Darren Parker, and Neil Lessard (Crystal) and their families, and by his brothers in law Kenny, Gene, and Robert, sisters in law Janet and Fern Ellen, many cousins, good neighbours Rick and Kenny, Rory and Kym, and many good friends. A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
I was so sorry to hear of my long time friend, Bert’s passing. We shared many fun times with Bert and Cathy over the years. My sincere condolences to Cathy and family during this difficult time. Thinking of you…

I never got to meet my great uncle Bert, but my father was so happy to meet his new birth family and felt very close to Bert so quickly. Sad to hear of his passing. Love to the entire family during this difficult time
