Yolanda Maria Garon, age 97, of Sudbury, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on December 20, 2025.
Yolanda, lovingly known as “Noni” to her grandchildren and friends, was deeply family-oriented and found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. Well known for her home cooking and the warmth of her kitchen, Yolanda welcomed family and friends with open arms. Some of her happiest memories were spent at Tyson Lake, enjoying quiet time surrounded by those closest to her.
Yolanda is survived by her daughter Barbara Anne Garon; her grandson William and his wife Lindsey Bigger; her granddaughter Stacey, and great-grandchildren Gemma and Brayden Marynuk; and her brothers Romano and Carlos Parolin. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Albert “Bert” Joseph Garon, and by her sister and best friend Norma Stokes.
In keeping with Yolanda’s wishes, no service will be held.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to her wonderful neighbours Sue and Dennis, Gus and Lin, TJ, and Daphnee, whose daily visits meant so much to Yolanda. She especially cherished the moments when Daphnee, the dog, trotted over from next door each day, eagerly greeted by Noni with her favourite treats.
Yolanda will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the quiet strength with which she cared for her family and friends.
