It’s with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Carlo Cecchetto on December 20th, 2025 at Health Science North at the age of 78 yrs with family by his side. Beloved husband of Flora Cecchetto (nee Valent). Loving father of Paolo (Melanie Lavoie), Franco (Tanya Bujold), Angelo (Nancy Franklin), and Marco (Samantha Simpson). A proud and loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Luca, Annabella, Adrian, Christina, Elio, Max, Theo, and Evelyne. He is predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Regina. He leaves his brothers, Renzo, Elio, Sergio, Mario, Paolo, and sister Laura. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
He cherished traveling back to his homeland of Italy to spend time with family. A devoted soccer fan, he also took great pride and pleasure in his gardening.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Northern Cancer Foundation or Health Sciences North Foundation in his memory. A Funeral Mass will be held in Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Road, Sudbury, on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 at (10:30am), followed by a luncheon in the Church Hall.
