Marshall Michael Harman 1954-2025

In loving memory of Marshall Michael Harman affectionately known as Michael.

He was born on October 30, 1954, and peacefully passed away at his home on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the age of 71. Michael was born in Blind River to Marshall and Mary Oneta Harman and was raised in Walford On. At the age of 10 Michael won an international plowing match. He spent time in his young adult years working with his dad learning to be a Bricklayer (Mason). He then went to work in the mining industry. He ended his career as a Manager for Robwell. He loved the outdoors and excelled at hunting and fishing. He was a man who worked with his hands all his life. Whether he was building a home or fixing a vehicle he was always busy. He had a love of gardening and was very adept at growing tomatoes. He was at home in a kitchen cooking and baking. His annual Christmas party held December 24th of each year was attended by friends and family. His door was always open, and he was quick to lend a hand when needed,

In 2022 when his nephew wanted to build an addition on his mother’s house, not only did he design and draw up the architectural plans he oversaw the construction and built a special door” for his niece Tracy. Ed and Tracy will be forever grateful to Uncle Mike for all his help, guidance and support.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Verna Marie (nee Campbell) who he wed on December 31, 1979. He had 3 children “Marcia Harman (James), Eric Harman (Amy) and Christian Harman (Fay). He loved his children equally and unconditionally. He also had 2 Grand Children Hannah and Michael who he spent a lot of time with. Teaching them about construction and mechanics.

Michael was predeceased Marshall and Mary Oneta (nee Whalen) Harman, his sisters Dolores Sanftenburg (Morris), Linda O Halloran (Bryan) and brother Lynn “Chum” Harman. He leaves behind his sister Darlene Landriault and brother Pat Harman (Margret).

The family would like to thank the Doctors and nurses at staff at Espanola Regional Hospital, the staff from Bay Shore Health Services and his personal Physician Dr. Bignocolo in Espanola.

A private family service will be held at the Saint Francis Church in Walford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory can be made directly to the Cancer Society or Bayshore Health Services.
